Jean-Pierre came to the Wine industry through the spirits industry, Cognac in particular. He has been a Commercial director and deputy GM for more than 40 years and as such had the great privilege to travel around the world supplying barrels to some of the world’s best wineries; and in the course of doing has met some of the world’s greatest winemakers and tasted some of the world’s greatest wines.
He has witnessed evolution in the style of the wine in many countries, including France of course!
He was permanent member of the Grand Jury Europeen and is today a member of the college Culinaire de France – Adviser to the President of Chene & Cie and partner of the greatest frost expert for vineyards – the doctor Alistair Nesbitt (PhD in viticulture and PhD Climatology)
In his “spare” time he organises Tasting Master Classes and the “Journées Henri Jayet” in Burgundy with Jacky Rigaux.
