Areni Live Analysis: Securing the Future of Wine Tourism

One of the most dynamic roundtables held at Areni Global – California Edition 2023 concerned the development of wine tourism, particularly as it relates to fine wine. The eight participants included an MS, an MW, several noted fine wine producers, and wine educators.

The roundtable was conducted, as always, under Chatham House rules, so quotes have not been attributed. We would, however, like to pay thanks to Maryam Ahmed, owner of Maryam + Company, who chaired the roundtable, kept it on track, and created a comprehensive record of the discussion. What follows is mostly based on her work, supplemented by insights from other recent discussions that Areni has had with wine tourism experts.
