Rocks District Winegrowers

The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater is nested entirely on the Oregon side of the Walla Walla Valley, and is the only AVA within the United States whose boundaries were defined based upon a single soil series (96% Freewater Series) and a single land form (alluvial fan). Rocks District Winegrowers is a non-profit collective of independent growers and producers focused on PLACE; and the promise of globally-recognized, Rocks District, wines. Derived from volcanic depositions of basalt cobbles and gravels 50-100 meters deep, this distinctive terroir can only be found within this 3,767 acre (1,524 hectares) appellation.

Jeb Dunnuck: “This incredible terroir produces an exotic, perfumed and textured style of wine that’s one of the most unique – and identifiable – in the world.”
