Hailing from Zimbabwe, Tinashe began his hospitality career at The Roundhouse Restaurant in Camps Bay, Cape Town before furthering his sommelier career at several iconic hotels and restaurants across South Africa including The Oyster Box in Umhlanga, Nobu at One&Only Cape Town and the multi award winning The Test Kitchen by Chef Patron Luke Dale Roberts. He holds a Cape Wine Diploma, WSET Level 3, Wine Judging Certificate from Micheal Fridjhon Academy and a Certificate in Wine Business Management from UCT GSB. He is the founder of Kumusha Wines as well as Somm On Call, an online wine shop. He is an independent wine judge as well as a wine consultant mainly to the restaurant trade.
